Hello All!

I am back. Wow, this almost feels weird blogging again after being off for couple months. I've been super duper busy because of school (what's new, eh?) However, now it is summer you have me back, don't get too excited!

I thought a good post back may be 'A Few of my Favourite Things' for the month of May and probably longer as well.

A Day on Queen St. West

Today, I took a quick little trip to Queen West (not exactly quick, but it sounded better). I had to grab some fabric swatches for school, while doing a bit of shopping here and there. My sister and I also had some lunch!

I really do love it on Queen West  and if you're from out of town and plan on visiting Toronto anytime soon, do give Queen a visit!

With that said, I thought I would share some photos.

2013. 

2012 was a great year, and I am so lucky to be healthy and happy. I can't wait to see what 2013 holds for myself, family and friends. I'm grateful to continue on all the friendships I've made, as well as the good ol' friends that will always be there. I hope everyone is healthy and happy in the New Year and ENJOY IT.

Spring/Summer Suit Separates - School Projects

Hello everyone!

I'm now done my 3rd semester, I think that it is time for me to sleep my life away now that it is Christmas break!

It was a good semester that flew by! We completed a lot of projects and I thought I would share a few main assignments. 

Spring/Summer 2013 - Suit Separate Project 

This is my suit separate project, this was for my main design class. We have a theme assigned, and we create a pant and jacket, based on our Country; I got the United Kingdom.

Here it is! 

Inspiration 

Royalty, "Shaggy baby, shaggy", and the separate sections of the Union Jack. 

Process for this project:

Pants & Jacket

- Pattern draft, muslin, final pattern, final garment 

We had about a week for each segment, expect for the final garment, we had two weeks to complete it. 

Plaid Dress- Draping

This project I did in one loonnnggg night! I loved doing it though, draping is really fun for me! It think it turned out well, and I'm happy with the result. 

We had no plan for our dresses we made, no sketches, no idea, just did it! Our Prof said, "Just play!" So we did, and it was neat to see how different everyones was!

Adrian Wu's Fashion Launch Party - The Thompson Hotel

Hey everyone!

It is Toronto Fashion Week - I know I'm a little late! I and a couple of my friends attended a rooftop party (Adrian Wu's launch party) on Monday. It was a lot of fun, mingling and meeting new people with a great backdrop of the city in the background. I was hoping to attend a fashion show this week, but I don't think it's in the books for me!
